Other: Mr. Miyoshi worked as an engineer in the Seattle area for 5.5 years before deciding to become an educator. He enjoys being with the students and teaching them information that they can use in the future whether they go directly to the working world or on to college. He was also the Head Freshman Football Coach (6 years) and encourages his students to participate in high school athletics and activities. He has also been the weightlifting coach and taught Olympic lifts and associated lifts.

Mr. Miyoshi is also a published author. His book, Musings of a Mediocre Man can be found in the CHS library. An interesting piece of trivia is that Mrs. Miyoshi used to teach business education in the same building (the seniors from the class of 2003 may remember her). As a matter of fact they met at Cedarcrest their first year of teaching!
